NASHFEEL Choreographer | INK Movement

INK Movement was started on November 20th, 2016.  Its founder Kourtney, also known as “Koko” French,  started the company at a time when she was at a place in her life where she was ready to quit dance. However, she was reminded by God why He gave her this gift of dance and the ability to create.

I can attest to this feeling because there was a time in my life that I wanted to quit as well. When reality hits and its time to “adult”, it is hard to figure out where your priorities lie. With a passion this strong, there has to be some way you can incorporate it into your life right?

Well Koko did not want make God disappointed by not using the gift He gave her. She believes we have this gift to let me people see that you can represent Christ and still have fun with your craft. We don’t have to be put in a box and become limited just because you get more responsibilities in life.

INK means “It’s Now Known”

This is a very powerful acronym because has a deeper meaning:

“What’s known is our purpose through dance and that’s only to be a light and a great representation of Christ. We wholeheartedly believe that God gives everyone a purpose and we all need to walk in it”.

INK Movement decided to showcase their passion by performing at RAW Nashville, an event  that showcases indie talent in visual art, film, fashion design, music, performance art, hair and makeup artistry, and photography. RAW currently operates in over 60 cities across the United States, Australia, Canada and the UK.

Mission statement:

“RAW Nashville provides independent artists within the first 10 years of their creative career with the tools, resources and exposure needed to inspire and cultivate creativity. RAW ventures to provide the platform for these artists to be seen, heard, and loved”.

This event was one of the first major debuts of INK Movement. As the Nashville dance community continues to grow, the harder this group works to represent the gifts that God has given them.

INK Movement will also be performing at the NASHFEEL event this August, the 26th. Come support this powerful and passionate group of ladies!
